Default '66 Vent Cable Mounting

I just reinstalled the gauge cluster and I'm not completely sure about the 2 vent cable attachment points on the bottom of the cluster. I assume the left cable attaches under the wiper switch and the right cable under the lighter. Also, do they route above or below the steering column?

It's been several years since I had my '66, but I think the cables go under the steering column. Do you have the AIM? Dennis

Note the left side clip that holds the vent cable and the hood release cable together. It helps keep it in place and takes stress off of the under-dash mounting bracket.

Do the vent assemblies go in PRIOR to installing the kick panels?
