This is a good first step, but we will probably be talking to you again. Unless (correctly) modified a bit from stock, the K19/ auto/ac cars are a handful and difficult to keep cool during the hot summers. Everything has to be right. But you have a plan and good advice to follow (JohnZ articles and forum suggestions) if needed.
Good luck.

You did not make my afternoon with the "probably be talking to you again" statement. I hope not, but would want to talk under better circumstances. Troubles do not make for good conversation, but I do appreciate your advice.

If the guy only changed the t-state without doing any other investigating you might have more under lying issues. We have very little info to go on to give you any more help. But he gave you great advice to follow.

Checked water pump, fan clutch, timing, radiator, and replaced 195 thermostat with 180 thermostat. Only problem the shop can find is the bad t-stat. Car is sitting in their parking lot with the AC on in the 97 degree weather and temp gauge will not even reach 210 degrees. Hope that shows that my problem may be solved.

Glad you got it sorted out for the cheap price of a thermostat!
