Default Need help identifying transmission parts

A friend has asked if I could help him identify these transmission parts. Thanks very much for any info you might be willing to share.

Looks like you have parts of a rusting second design 67 Muncie transmission.

I think the gears are just shoved on the shaft in the wrong order. Probably missing the reverse gear. My bet is everything on the main shaft and counter shaft is junk If the counter gear hole is not egged out, the case and side cover may be worth something.

could be, that is definitely a synchro hub on the shaft... (and, if I remember correctly from my misspent youth, Saginaws had a synchronized reverse on their 3 spd or 4spd or both.

That's where Muncie stamped the assembly date, but those aren't Muncie stamp fonts.

Thanks, could you show me some photos of verified Muncie factory stamps?

The 3885010 casting number is a 66-67 Muncie case. The stamped date, which John feels is bogus, indicates an assembly date of Nov(S) 17, 1967,
A Muncie built in Nov of 1967 would have gone into an early 68 car. The 68 Muncies had (or should have) a casting number of 3925660.

I believe this to be an original '67 Muncie stamping.

Thanks to all for the information. We are posting more pix in hopes that someone would be willing to estimate a value for the pieces shown. We can't post in the For Sale section without a price, so would appreciate any help. Thanks again, David

The 010 case was used 66-67, if the front 1" hole has not been over sized then it will have value.
The 648 side cover was used from 70-74 with the TCS switch and maybe has value.
I would check ebay for past sales.
As for the gears and shaft I would not use them in a rebuild myself.
