Hey guys,
My buddy Robert and I drove down in our old crocks, about 400 miles each way, the '66 BB coupe is his, the '67 is mine.
We had a great time, a few other members from our chapter also went down, one was having his '67 judged.
As usual some spectacular cars, when is the last time you saw six L88's in one place at the same time? They were '68's and 69's , one guy owned two black ones, wow!
I don't have any other pics for now, but my buddy Dave took a bunch, I'll get some to post.
Paul
We both had some tire issues, Robert got a new set .

I thought it was a great meet with many wonderful cars. The beautiful black 65 tanker was stunning. I had a great time meeting and visiting with car owners. And met several I only previously knew from the web. New England chapter put on a good show.
You must have enjoyed the tours because I did not see you in the judging tents that I recall?

I drove down from the Cape on Wednesday. Only a little over an hour from my house. Spectacular array of beautiful and rare Corvettes. The New England Chapter did a great job. Nice to see old friends there as well. At the risk of sounding critical, these events would be more interesting if there was a vendor presence. The Winter meet in Lakeland was nice, but vendors were down quite a bit.
Here are the six 68/69 L88's and some other pics I took.

Drove down in the new Z06. Kept it under 65 the whole way

The cars left in the outdoor staging area as two big rain storms came through Sunday was probably not popular. I don't know how people liked the tent judging, on Monday during our visit it was hot, humid, and windy. The cars were fantastic, I also loved the '65 tanker (but don't you think the paint was over restored?) and the '63 Z06 tanker too. I counted one '64 and one '81, still orphans but at least one was there.
Our road tour was the most fun, great people and cars, John and his wife drove their '63 non-A/C Fuelie coupe all the way from California with no problems at all. Here is a picture of our Texas Road Tour along with the Rocky Mountain Road Tour, my '12 Carlisle Blue ZR1 performed flawlessly, and we even got to drive through Carlisle, PA on the way home.

One of our members, Dave, just took delivery of a new Corvette and drove down in it with another member.
For a hoot he had some stickers made and didn't tell us, we all had a good laugh, he's a nut.

My wife and I drove up from Florida and met the NC road tour in Hershey PA.
Great convention, the best I've ever attended, and I've been a NCRS member since 1982.
Got home late last night after a ~3500 mile round trip, so I'm still catching up. Have several pictures to post.
IIRC, there were nearly 500 families registered and ~120 cars for Flight Judging.
NICE venue.

I very much enjoyed what I saw and did while I was there. After an 8 day, 2700 mile road tour from home, we left on Tuesday morning for the 2700 mile trip back home, two weeks out is a long time anyway. But the things many Nationals are criticized for, like a crowded opening reception where few have seats and tables and the food is meager, and a hotel that is so disorganized your rooms are not ready for checkin on Sunday until late in the night, was solved by the NE Chapter, they had that nailed, very well done. And all venues from seminars and annual meeting to the judging areas had plenty of room, also well done.
The cars left in the outdoor staging area as two big rain storms came through Sunday was probably not popular. I don't know how people liked the tent judging, on Monday during our visit it was hot, humid, and windy. Great time with Great people. They run a top notch event. Rained the night we had the cars in the staging lot but they all survived! Yes was nice to see so many L88's the silver one 4000 mile car. PS I drove it to the event 40 miles.

Congrats on the Topflight!
The silver one was my favorite of the L88's, I'd love to know the story on that car.
Silver convertible with a silver interior, and a black vinyl hardtop, then an L88! Almost like someone ordered a really nice vert to drive, and accidentally got the the L88?

(6) L88's, (4) '63 A/C coupes, (1) '63 Z06 Tanker, (1) '65 Tanker with a 327/365 Black/Black,
(1) '65 Coupe with 327/365 with A/C, (1) '72 LT1 Coupe with A/C, (1) LS 6 Coupe
These were the rare car that I saw, and I may have missed something. Plenty of 396's and 427's

Any of those L88s from Terry? He has 5 for sale right now in his dealership.

We had a Blast. The Road Tour stop at Thompson Speedway was great, Jim did hid best in his 61 to pass but I held him off. Liz said she would do the road tour to San Antonio next year, we'll see.
