Default Help with Numbers Matching?? Code Breakdown? Value?

Please give me your thoughts on the value of this car!!!!! It has new paint, tires and wheels, interior is little tired.....Thanks

Can anyone help me with the break down of the following vin and body tags? I'm thinking about buying a C2 convertible. Do the stamps on the engine look original and match? The last two numbers are SC and it is a powerglide car.

Thanks
Jim

A.O. Smith body saddle tan with saddle vinyl int. Engine pad needs to be paint stripped to see original machine marks.

I don't think we can do much with the engine stamp pad. Too much paint on it. It should not have any on it. Dennis

Every thing looks really good to me. Can't see broach marks because of paint. SC= 327-250hp-Powerglide. I would feel good about this match.

Engine date May 11. Car Vin May. Tags look like what I'd expect.

Don't let the owner sand the paint off. Must be done with paint stripper. Dennis

Looks like an honest old painted pad to me

Should there be a body build date debossed on the trim tag?

Yes there should.

But this body was one of the very early AOS ones, so just about anything is possible. A LOT of changes going on during this time to finally get things lined out and running smoothly. It was an evolving process for that first few months in 1964.

Trim Tag looks fine to me otherwise.

Is the SC part of the vin on the pad? I thought the vin was just the vin , not and SC for transmission Or maybe it's a 96

FO5IISC=Flint May 11th, 327-250 hp, with Powerglide
The Vin derivative is the other set of numbers on the pad. Don't know what you mean by maybe it's a 96

"SC" is the suffix on the ENGINE PLANT machine code; it's unrelated to the VIN derivative, which was stamped at St. Louis. There were four Corvette engines in 1964 with an "S" suffix, all of which were Powerglide engines.

Hello everbody!!! I attached better (clean) block codes. Can you all please give me your opion on the value of the following car? Paint is new and lines are straight, new tires and wheels and he has the originals. I figure the interior needs new seats maybe few little things. motor looks clean and rebuilt about 20k ago.....

Thanks

Looks fantastic to me. I can't give you a good estimate on a 250 hp powerglide 64. Sorry about that, but I do love the colors.

Looks like a $35 to 40k car if everything is solid, less if it needs anything major. Maybe $45k tops if everything is perfect. Hard to be more specific without knowing the condition of the frame, birdcage, etc.......

The engine pad looks good to me. I have to agree with tuxnharley on the value and the points he made about unknown condition. Dennis
