Too much coil for amp?
On a recent purchase from paragon bought upgraded solid state amp for 65, at same time bought t.i.coil from them, finding out later that t.i. coil not necessary, having hot start issues, any thoughts on whether t.i. coil could be problem? Not in a position yet to ty another. Thanks in advance

[QUOTE=buns;1592706049]Are you saying that the "upgraded" solid state amp does not require a T.I. coil?
Which coil do you have? The '207'?[/QUOT
Bought the T.I coil #210 from paragon along with the solid state amp, now paragon tells me any coil will work with the amp, thanks paragon, still am trying to diagnose hot start issues, waiting for new battery cables to try again (solenoid and/or ignition switch) trouble as well.
Seem to be throwing darts but wondering if there is too much voltage being supplied to amp?
Or...a intermittent/bad coil?

Coil values are all over the place, reproduction and aftermarket. If you have a digital meter you can check the resistance of the coil you have.
A few years ago I was extremely bored and did some research on coils. Linkage below:

This is the exact quote
with the solid state modules you can you any bottle style coil. you do not have to us a T.I specific coil.
end quote
Not trying to bash anyone just trying to get this car sorted out for reliability, more questions than answers??

I'm wondering what they mean by "any coil will work".
