Hi all
If experienced eyes could cast a glance over this car I'm considering it would be appreciated.
See anything out of place? Non genuine? Value in US?
Thanks

Black and silver is stunning and rare. Overall a very tidy, squared away and honest appearance, inside and outside, engine bay and underside. Excellent older restoration is apparent. Wish it were in my garage. This brings whatever a 65 L79 coupe in a great color combo with awards will bring. My guess around $70-75K in the USA

It appears to be a well done resto now showing some age. Good color combo. Worth in the mid to high 40's here in my opinion.

Pretty car!

Silly question- since the interior isn't a two tone type but all silver, wouldn't the dash skins and waterfall be silver, and only the globe box and instrument panel obviously be black? Truly curious.

And, the finishing touch appears to be a genuine Teak Wheel!

Nice, no excuses L79 in a great color combination. $65,000 would be a nice figure IMO.

Nice car but $93K is not going to happen unless someone with deep pockets just has to have it.

that 93K in AUS dollars is about 69K USD.
Just about exactly what I would think the car to be worth, if not a little more here in the USA. If the driveline is original, that car will bring top dollar for what it is.

by the way, last week at the Awards Banquet of the Warwick RI Ocean State National NCRS Meet I sat with Murray Forman of the Perth AUS NCRS chapter and several others from down under. Interesting group of characters to say the least. Die hard corvette fans.

If the car is as nice as it presents in the ad and the awards suggest, then its not a crazy price and there are plenty of crazy price cars on carsales. As always you need to see the car, look for body and birdcage issues.

I recently sold a midyear on carsales and its a weird market, just not that many people in the price range and a lot of people wanting corvette on a mustang budget. On the other side, I actually had dealers call and admit they couldnt find and import them for customers as cheap as they could just buy them locally.

Even if you could find that car in the US somewhere in the 50's (and thats a big if), its into the 80's AUD landed. If you went to see it with a fist full of dollars and it checks out, seems like you could make a reasonable deal.

that's $93k AUS not US $; quite reasonable at approx. $69k US.

Thanks to all the replies that's great and encouraging. Will get more info but the ad says there are photos of the restoration process that would be good to look at. That might help rule out rust issues especially if the car has been here in Australia for a while. Not often these cars come up her especially in the west. Hope to have time to travel to see car soon. Will let you know how I go.
Thanks again.

Oh one other thing..I was trying to spot anything that looked reproduction from photos..obviously will be some replacement parts.
Any thoughts on door trim, gauges ( the speedo shows only 50 something k) and knockoff wheels whether factory original or not?

As for the wheels you would need to pull them (well, at least one anyway) off and look at the casting marks and data on the backside to determine if they are original Kelsey Hayes wheels or not. Even if they are it doesn't necessarily mean they are original to the car.
