Default Arizona Vin

I bought a 62 a few years ago and it has an Arizona Vin Tag. No Vin tag on the steering column. Can anyone tell me if I can trace the Arizona Vin number to see if the vette is a theft recovery or a salvage? Any help is appreciated.

Call the AZ dept of motor vehicle and ask them...

Also shouldn't 'your' ins company be able to find out for you?

Don't call, write. Call for the address of what used to be called the Investigations Division. There should be a record on file of the investigator's inspection report, except if it occurred too long ago and has come under some "privacy" protection. Include a copy of your current title (clearly marked as a "COPY") to prove you own the car now.

Did you have any luck with the Az MVD or just give up on your search?
