Adding shoulder belts--frame anchor??
I am adding shoulder belts and headrests to my late '66 coupe (which already has the factory rear fender mounts for the shoulder belt) for safety in the event of collision. Would it be advisable to add some kind of frame anchor to the shoulder belt mounting plate? Did GM ever engineer such a part or is it not necessary if you already have frame anchor cables for the lap belts?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Do a search. This has been discussed in the past, with no clear direction. Dennis

You may want to check over at the C-3 forum for a solution. The 68 and up came standard with shoulder belts. The frames are essentially the same. I would check my 68, but it is in storage. I can give a look at my 68 AIM. Jerry
