Kick Panels for a 61 needed
I purchased a set of ABS kick panels with speakers in them. Bought the stainless sheets, and the stainless to go on the panels..... and then crap.
the stainless panels won't fit in the recess - and the trim peice is even worse. It's all a bigger mess when I try to install the panel in the car - it doesn't line up at all.
I still had the original kick panels, so I removed the vinel that someone glued on them - and got down to the fiberglass.
So here is the story: The new Plastic panels were pulled off an old set of kick panels - but not as a plug. the plastic panels will lay right on top of the old ones... which makes them too big.
Anyway, If I junk speakers & ABS panels - anybody got any experience with the re po's from CC or Paragon?

I used the repro kick panels from either Zip or Paragon in my '61 and they worked just fine. Forget about those lame-azz kick panel speakers...they're crap anyway...you're better off with the Eckler's 140W dual voice coil speaker for the dash for about $50...

I tried the ABS panels; they were crap indeed.
You can always cut speaker holes in the repro kick panels; they're not original so no harm done. Mount a set with speaker covers painted to match the interior.
Follow Frankie's lead on the Custom Autosound 140W speaker for the dash; great sound and reasonable price.
