Default Side Pipes

I bought this car in April and have been slowly getting it back "road ready". It had been sitting, inside, for 17 years. After rebuilding the trailing arms and carburetors, cleaning and painting the frame, body on, and general maintenance I started driving it. Big block, three deuces, My dream car, I decided I had to have some factory style side pipes. Got the kit last weekend and installed it...couldn't be Happier.

Looks Great!
IMHO factory style side pipes make the whole side of the car!

Looks sweet! The sidepipes are a nice touch. I owned a '67 Coupe 40 years ago that was Black/Black, 435HP, headrests, speedo warning buzzer, etc. Another one I should have kept!

Ok thanks for asking. It has 41,189 original miles. Factory air, power steering and windows, telescopic steering column, headrest, shoulder belts and 427/400 3X2. I had been looking for a driver for over 5 years. I never dreamed I'd get a car this nice for the price I paid.

My brother was at his Dentist office and mentioned that I was looking for a C2 coupe, his dentist is a car guy also. He said he had a friend in Louisiana that may have something. After talking to him he said he didn't have anything but he new another guy that may have something. Well he told me about this car. It was in West Monroe, Louisiana.

The owner had it, a 67 and 63 convertible. He bought them from the owner of a Chevy dealer, 9 years ago, who had closed his dealership.

Before the side pipes.

Engine compartment after cleaning it with a bottle of Dawn and water.
Trust me it didn't look anything like this when I bought it.

Last time I talked to him he still had the 67 big block convertible and the 63 convertible. He said several people had inquired about the 67.
I don't know about the 63. He said something about getting the 67 BB running and start driving it.

These cars were not being advertised when I called him about the coupe I bought. It was a word of mouth deal. He didn't seem to care if he sold them or not.

It's a personal preference, but a set of redlines would really make those wheels and tires look great.

That is awesome - I love the sidepipes!

I'm with 65GGVert, red lines would finish it off for me.

We all have our preferences, but at the end of the day, be proud of that beast!!

Thanks for the compliments. Red line tires Are next. I couldn't decide if I wanted different wheels and tires or side pipes then I went to my brothers house and he fired up his 502/502 resto-mod 65 convertible with side pipes and it was over. I think I will leave the Rally wheels on it and get red line tires.

Prices seem to be falling on these cars like no one's business.
