Thanks...I was more curious than anything. I like the idea of laminating it...keeps it clean and not bent up.

. . . Also a lot easier to stick to and remove from the window without ripping the sticker. Laminate both sides and the tape pulls off easily.

My window sticker is laminated for both cars and will stay in the window just by pressing the sticker between the window glass and rubber molding the slightest bit on the driver's side at upper corner and lower edge; works well and doesn't hurt a thing...and no messy tape. Been doing it that way for 6 years. fyreline's side window display is correct but Joe Six-Pack won't know the difference and has no idea how it was displayed on the showroom floor.

No need for tape, glue, pop rivets, JB Weld or the like

The fake stickers are tons of fun but you'll get tired of this question, "Ha! I'll pay you this price for the car right now!". Just tell them you take MasterCard of PayPal and you're guaranteed a good laugh.

You'll have to explain to folks that the radio and heater were separately priced options back 'in-the-day' as they won't understand how these weren't standard equipment as is the case today.

Yeah, if I had a dollar for every yokel who thought he was being clever with the "Ill give you that for it right now" comment, I would have the full 1962 sticker price and then some. I always tell them, "That's the sticker price - for that price, all you get is the sticker, pal."

Speaking of what people say...this happened to me last night.
I just got my car on the road and was driving it last night. I came up on a stop sign with this SUV in front of me. The car sat and I'm thinking..."come on, let's not wait forever".
She gets out of her car....starts walking back...and I'm thinking "OK, now what"???
She approaches my car...standing about 5 feet away from the front and says with open arms..."WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN"?!?!?! She continued....OMG!! She puts her hand to her heart and says..."Be still my beating heart" and then gets back in her car and drives off.
Haaaaa.

Had similar things happen - trust me, its strictly the car and nothing to do with you.
Us old farts are mostly just "the man behind the curtain" while the car gets all the attention.

So, calm down, nobody's drooling over our geriatric azzes...

Looks good but you need to make it look old and that is easy to do.

Nope. I'm not trying to fool anyone, or make it look like something it's not. I'm aware of all the tricks of "aging" a document and have no interest in doing that.

The 'aging' thing doesn't seem to matter; people are convinced its the original window sticker... They don't seem to question how it could be so pristine after 50+ years...

Yep, this is true. Many of the folks who comment on it are more interested in asking how it was kept and preserved all these years than anything else . . . it never even seems to dawn on them that it might not be the original.

A few coffee stains...a nasty fingerprint....a few tears and voila.

Funny though, I looked at an original '67 tank sticker off Tim Burke's of Burke's body shop's personal car. His shop is just behind Roger's and the darn sticker is so pristine I told him he'll have trouble convincing folks its not a fake...

MS Paint is all I ever use . . . for one thing, almost any PC already has it for free, and secondly there isn't much you can't do with it, given some time and practice.

I use it all the time...but it can be difficult to align stuff with it. You did a great job.

I used M/S PowerPoint just because I'm used to it.
