[C1] Anyone made their own window sticker?
#41
When I got my reproduction one I thought the guy made a mistake because the size was small. I remember as a kid in the 60"s looking at new cars and it seem like the stickers were much bigger. But I guess as a kid everything seem bigger then today.

Here is a picture of mine using MS Paint. What I did was use a small font 11...then I "resized" the picture (blew it up). It wasn't intentional, but what this did was make the lettering "soft" and not real shape...making it look just like a typewriter. The form font doesn't look clear in the photo below, but it is on the sticker itself.

I really like the window-sticker.com people. They seem honest.
"We cannot print a window sticker for specially optioned cars such as the 1963 Z06 Corvette or the 67, 69 Pace Cars without some factory documentation. Write or e-mail for further info. Also we cannot show anything that differs from the VIN#. If your VIN# shows your car is originally a L48 car, we cannot show it as a L82 car . If your car is a 78 Pace Car and the VIN# does not agree, we cannot show it as such. This is not our rule. It is a directive we have received from the original manufacturers of these vehicle."
In an era of Clones, Tributes and Counterfits it's nice to know we still have honest people. Ok - GM requires them to be honest but nonetheless . . .

At this point it looks like everyone that has requested a blank window sticker from me has received one - if you haven't gotten yours yet, check your e-mail, I did send it. Let me know if you don't get it. I like seeing what everyone has done, I hope the blank sticker I made up meets your needs and helps you to enjoy your car. I can guarantee you'll get a lot of comments on it. I created the original from scratch using only MS Paint, nothing was copied from anywhere. Glad to share it with the Corvette community - sure beats spending a lot of money for one, and you can not only customize it for resto-mods or whatever you have, but you can also change it if you add or subtract equipment from your car.
Hope everyone has a great evening and a nice labor day weekend!
