Showing your car - do people like before/after pictures?

I've found that the majority of people love seeing pictures of the process. Most don't understand the amount of work it takes to restore a car and are in awe of pictures showing a bare frame and how it became the car that's right in front of them. I usually take an album to the shows but don't bring it out until someone shows interest and then there's usually several people gathered around it the rest of the day.

I very much enjoy looking at the pictures of the restoration process. I'm not a purist so I'm not looking for correctness. I'm looking at the time, effort, and money it took to take the car from a basket case to a running, driving, piece of automotive accomplishment. As far as I'm concerned the trophy is the finished product. Congratulations to those who are able to withstand the process.

My car draws crowd and interest.. but only a few people want to take the time to flip through a photo book.
Just my experience.

and ravens too!
Maybe I'm a little jaded.. I hate it when you walk up to a guy with a nice car.. to compliment and ask a few questions.. and he pulls out the 8 inch thick binder of his restoration and starts talking... Kinda like when uncle Joe would get out the slides from his trip to Hawaii
Then the options are stand and listen or be rude.

Oh yes, I'll play this game...the old before and after. After 'the before' and 'before the after' a great deal goes on in turning the clock back.

I'll add my two cents as well.
BEFORE pictures, yes....
After pictures.... are they needed? I am assuming that the car is going to be right there in front of them no? After pictures are un-interesting, if the car is RIGHT THERE WITH YOU!
If you have a table... I'd bring along some of the crusty/rusty old (smaller easier transportable) parts that you had to remove, to give a better visual of what you really had to deal with!

People enjoy the before/after pictures...even if they don't talk to you about it...
I show my B/A picture of the place i moved it from and then took it back to same location after restoration...
So if you can, park it back in the place the before pic...it gives it some perspective...
Heres my before/after pics...

I appreciate all the work that goes into these projects, and have experienced it as well. I like the albums, because each project is different. I never get to look at them as long as I'd like to because I want to be able to see the rest of the show. You can only devote so much time to each car at a show and still be able to see the whole thing.

OK....I'm hear to report my experience from my first show.
People loved the pictures! I had a lot of people looking at them and saying "YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME"?!! SERIOUSLY?!?!
I had 6 pictures I had put between two pieces of plexiglass and a book with more pictures. Some people grabbed the plexiglass and walked around the car comparing the pictures to the car and taking to others. As you can see in the guy in blue in he last picture.
Best of all....I WON!! "BEST CHEVROLET IN SHOW". Whooo hoooo!!!! My first show and my first trophy.
I have another thread on my win....but here is a picture of my trophy and people.

And you did all that without a Show board.
Those B/F pictures are the best to have at a show, for those that don't understand what goes into one of these Cars....

I did get a kick out of people caring around the pictures in the plexiglass and passing it around. I observed that was looked at the most.
