Thanks for the encouraging words, B! That was mos def a sweet white/red '64 fuelie but the price was a bit rich and when I got to looking around and spotted this '65, I decided against an FI car. Maybe a good long-term investment but not enough bang for the buck, and always the percolation issue lurking in the background. Consulted with a few knowledgeable buddies and concluded that the rarity of the 365hp - A/C combo (around 280 built in '65) made it an equally good investment and easier to live with as a driver.
