010 block is a 350 block yours was cast in April ? 1970 can't make out the day. And it's a warranty replacement engine

Le Mans Master
Or an over the counter engine assembly or one installed by Chev. whether in warranty or not.
Also, the OA on the pad indicate it was made in the first run of service engines in 1970.

Thanks for the quick feedback. It has 4 bolt main caps. Looking to put a stroker crank in it and am not sure what Summit or Jegs will need to know to get me the right rotating assembly. Or what the machinist might ask.

Melting Slicks
This block is a good basis for a build. It will have a left side dipstick and a 2-piece rear main seal. If stroking to a 383 (3.75" stroke), you will need to do some block clearancing for the rod bolts depending on the rod design. You will also need to know the new bore size in order to get the correct pistons.

Advanced
I had this 010 block in my '72 vert..built it to '70 LT1 specs....ported and flowed heads and intake, Hedman headers into 2.5" exhaust with a tricked out Q-jet... ran real hard to 6200 rpm. Good 350 In my book...

About seven million "010" blocks were cast from 1969-1979 - it was the foundation of the "4"-bore block parade during that era, with countless applications in cars, trucks, Corvettes, marine and industrial installations.
