Installing Flares on my 66 Resto Mod Coupe
I purchased a set of flares from Dynamic Corvettes which will add approximately 1.5" of additional space for larger rims. These are the modern type of flares that do not charge the factory body lines. Corvette Designs in Monroe, NC and Jeff Moore (owner) has done an incredible job installing the flares to include repairing some front body damage! All four flares are now attached and final blocking is taking place. Should be in the paint booth in a couple of weeks were late model Corvette "Torch Red" will be sprayed. Can't wait to get it completed so I can confirm exact b/s for larger rims/tires (8.0"x18"fronts/20"x10"rears). here's a few pictures of the flare install to date:

Installing C-2 Flares on 66 Resto Mod
I agree....the attached picture is what mine should look with the Torch Red paint and black stinger hood graphics. Mine will have modern pro-touring rims 18"/20" with 40 series tires!

Nice looking flares. As long as you keep the body line intact, it all looks great. If it was me, I might got for balanced front/rear tire sizing, but that's just me.

67Heaven used to be around here a lot back in the day and then he just disappeared to another forum.
He had a nice web page when he was building that car..it turned out great.

I found this picture under a search "Corvette C-2 with flares" on Google. This picture helped me make up my mind to install these modern type flares and paint my 66 red! I owe the person that built 67 Heaven!!!
