Default Electric Tachometer Conversion

Has anyone done this conversion to a midyear tach? I am installing Holley HP EFI and the distributor does not have a mechanical tach option.

I don't know ANYthing about this product - certainly worth looking into IMO:

It DOES NOT WORK on a 63 or 64 due to the conical gauges - so be advised...

Many of the gauge restoration places can do the conversion for you.

I don't think the install is all that bad. I want to know how well it works and how reliable it is.
However any insight on the install is also appreciated.

I had my 66's tach converted a couple of years ago and it still works fine; needle is rock steady. Hooks up to the coil. It might be over simplified, but I think the conversion consists of putting the guts of a C3 gauge into the C2 gauge.
