Just brought this old girl home. 1965 roadster with Hemi running gear. She has a 392 Hemi, transmission and I think a Dana 8.5 solid rear axle.

Anyone ever seen one of these before. Raining today but if it's dry tomorrow I'll take her up on my test road and see how she feels.

That's it! Thanks. She looks pretty stock until you get close. She'll be a driver until I learn a little about all that Chrysler running gear. Had my Porsche for almost 20 years so everything is rebuilt and she's the one I take to the track a few times a year. Got my classic Mini a year ago and I've been working on her, now she goes to the autoxes. The Vette will get some TLC as I figure her out as well

Did you get any history with it? Like when it was modified or any previous owners.

That moter would look awesome in my 1933 Plymouth 2dr. sedan street rod project I am trying to sell. It has a Chevy motor in it now.

I talked to the seller. He knew the previous owner who bought the car with no running gear back in the early 80's. He was an engine builder, Hemi's that drag raced around the Bay area, Femont I think he said. Since he had all this Chrysler running gear laying around he put it in the Vette. He later passed away and the seller got the car and had it for about 5 years but rarely drove it.

I think what Nowhere Man is so "subtly" referring to is the missing front bumpers, lights in the grill, rather large fender cutouts/flares, newer style mirrors, front spoiler, and chrome cowl vent grills, among other things. Hardly in a "looks pretty stock" appearance, even at a distance.

Nice looking car though and, definitely one of a kind!

I like it becouse it's diffreant. I just found it funny as the op used stock in his discription. This seems like a car where two gear head buddies dared one anther that it couldn't be done. And after a long cold lonely winter it showed up and proved the other guy wrong.

I realize that this is the age of "politically correctness" but, I find that to be just a little bit creepy.
