Hello, Just got done ordering new turn signal mechanism and wires thinking it was that for my 59. obviously it wasn't.

Could someone help me trace down how the system works so I can hopefully get them working? my brake lights, parking lights and headlights lo/hi beams work perfect.

Here is a picture of my 61 harness/signal switch.
I checked the schematics for the 59 and the 61 and they are they use the same colors.
Can you post a picture of the signal switch wires? The stop lights go through the switch and they work?

Light blue - front left signal
Dark blue - right front signal
Pink - Rear left signal
Violet - Right rear signal
White - from stop light switch
Yellow - from the signal flasher

Make darn sure to push on each wire in the connectors shown above to make sure they are FIRMLY seated; they can loosen up and cause problems.
Make sure the color of the wires as they enter and exit the connectors match.

If your brake lights work that's the same filament as the turn signal so you don't have a ground problem. Your issue in the power/flasher side of things.

You've yet to describe your symptoms so I don't know how much help you expect to get...

Sorry to revive old thread. Yes, Replaced flasher. Have brake lights that work, and all other lights.
