Default Header tape to reduce exhaust rattles?

My magnaflow exhaust is rattling against the frame and pretty close to some fiberglass. Has anyone used header wrap to tame the rattle? It isn't all the time, but it would be nice to never hear any rattle.

Fix it, rather than waste money and effort on a temp. bandage.

I have to agree with the others.

Have you inspected the muffler hangers? When I installed my Magnaflows my hangers were shot and even after I replaced them I still had to screw around with the adjustments 'til I was able to get them centered.

Also, if you have pieced exhaust pipes I would check their fit, alignment, and guillotine clamps as well. If properly installed, you should not have any rubbing or rattling issues. Good luck.

Sounds like bad muffler bearings to me, I'd change them.

I'm sure 4 Speed Dave was using the old "back in the day" joke when mentioning them but, there actually IS such a thing!

Guess someone's making spark plug springs now as well?
