Default What is this Eaon Fan Clutch?

Attached are pictures of an Eaton fan clutch that I got with my '61 (#106531). It was supposed to be a spare but it doesn't match to the TIM&JG. So what is this one (I'm thinking C2)? Any thoughts on value?

My end is to trade this for a rebuild of my clutch or a trade for a good one.

Probably for a C3 car............not certain SB vs BB unless we measure the shaft length.

Original C2 fan clutches had the fluid reservoirs with STRAIGHT SIDES........compared to the later style with TAPERED SIDES.

Default Fan Clutch

That looks like the GM replacement clutch #3916141.

As I'm sure you know KirkConnell Corvettes will rebuild your original fan clutch quite reasonably... They're usually at Lakeland in January and a Florida vendor...

It would of course help if my spelling was Eaton. The face-to-face length is 0.90". Looked at #3916141 - they look really similar (identical?) to this. I know Dan - he won best of show previously at our Venice, FL March show with a beautiful car.

John:

SB = 1.8 inches from end of shaft flange to boss of the fan blade attaching stud.

BB = 1.5 inches

Larry

EDIT: Based on the ink stampings, it is a later GM/DELCO service replacement part. These service replacement parts kept the C3 face design with the tapered reservoirs.

Thanks everyone for the input. It's going on my '61 for a few weeks while the current unit is off to get rebuilt.

I'm not a big fan (pun intended) of rebuilt fan clutches where they cut the front cover off and then reattach it with screws and approximate the appearance at the lip with jb weld.

I have a 3916141 on my 67 350hp and would put the old fan clutch back on if i ever have the car judged again.
