Is there even a single part from a '64 Vette on this car? Looks to me like an unholy mixture of '66 and '67 parts, with some '65 seats thrown in just to keep folks guessing.

Mika - No one is saying what was done to this car is wrong.

We're just saying that it's not restored. The English language is a wonderful thing. Words have meaning.

I know you couldn't recreate that car for less but I still think it's too much $$$$.

I would have to disagree, since "restored" means to return it to a previous condition, typically that is accepted or expected to be the first day of its life, unless to a stated significant event.

Examples:

1963 Corvette, restored to how it left the factory

1963 Penske Grand Sport, restored to its 1965 race condition

I would say this car has been "rebuilt" or "refurbished". I would not say it is restored.

Unless it was modified like this for some famous person in the '60s, and so it is restored to the condition that it was in when he(she) owned it, I couldn't say this was "restored to a previous state or condition".

You guys are too harsh...that vette will certainly appeal to a certain crowd regardless of its hybrid parts...

Like my old grandpap used to say,"....if we all liked the same things, everybody would be after grandma!"

Agreed, nothing wrong with the car. It has nice wheels, the right hood (the "only" hood), and it seems to be in good shape from what we see.

I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers.

Just don't call it restored.

From the pictures presented, I actually can only see ONE thing from a 64 ... the rear deck script. Its got a complete 65 interior with seats, dash & door panels, 67 BB hood & fender gills, 66-67 fuel door, 65-66 nose flag. Its been pieced together most likely from a wrecked 64 (title), 65 (interior) & 67 (body). Its got disc brakes which didn't start until 65, so likely the chassis is either 65 or 67. As someone said, very few body shots and no chassis shots (strange to me).

Anyone interested in this BB restorod needs to be very thorough on the paperwork, VIN & trim tags etc to make sure you know whats happened here and understand what you are buying. I'd say its worth $35-40k tops with that motor ... and just drive it like you stole it! Just my $0.02. Bill
