Yes I am very familiar with that artery. It stands for Anterior Descending Left or LAD for short. You are very fortunate to still be here and talking to us. The bypass surgery will go great and the recovery will have its ups and downs but in the end you will fell much better and like someone else already said you will be doing all of the things you want to do for many years to come. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

They are getting pretty good at these things.. My father had quad-bypass and he recovered stronger than ever.. Unfortunately, he passed away from unrelated problems, but his bypasses held up great for 20 years.

Don't mean to preach but if you smoke, do everything you can to quit.
Sending positive vibes your way.

I concur with the group on finding now rather than later. Prayers for a full recovery.

I agree, get in and get after it so you can come back healthy as soon as possible.
My cousin had that repair last year, he is 3 years older than I. He is doing great and feels very fortunate to have a repaired widow maker rather than a widowed wife.
Hope it goes smooth as glass and many cute nurses show up to pamper you!
Thoughts and prayers are with you!

Make sure you get NOS parts , not repros

Take care
