Default My 60 at Hendrick All Chevy Show

I just wanted to post a few pictures of my 60 at the Hendrick Motorsports All Chevy Show Saturday. I didn't even get honorable mention, but there were a lot of nice Corvettes there. A big plus: I didn't know it until I pulled the wheels off for new tires, but it has been converted to disc brakes on the front.

Wow looks great! I'd like to see that brake conversion. I want to keep my stock wheels but id also like to be able to stop better. My reservation with a disk upgrade has been being afraid my rims wouldn't fit with calipers.

Paint some narrow (15x6"?) Rally wheels to match your C1's body color and everything should fit ok.

What was the solid axle to other Corvette ratio? Typically 1 out of 50..... Car looks great.

the epitome of Americana! That is America's Signature car, with the big chrome grill! Would love to own one like it someday! 59 and 60 were always my favorite years........but I wanted to own the year I was born!

I saw 6 C1's, two of which were restomods (and got first and second) and 4 stock. Probably a couple hundred cars there, mostly Corvettes.

And while I'm at it, also added a garage mate today. First Ford car I've owned since high school. And it was the same color and body style as this one. I just hope the Corvette doesn't catch any Ford diseases from living with it.

Yours is a really looking car! The others must have been pristine if you didn't score any hardware. Car show judging is just too subjective to get me upset about not winning anything.

One of the others, the 59 blue one you can just see the front of in one of the pictures, just came out of complete restoration, and another looked like it just came off the showroom floor and had a hard top on it. The blue 59 did get a "directors recognition" plaque, no trophies.

Any idea of what kit or make was used to convert the brakes? Rotors look like they're from 14 in. car like an older Camero.
Car looks awesome.....need sunglasses bright!

Sorry, I don't. I didn't even know it had them when I bought it. I assumed drums. The calipers are odd shaped single piston apparently. At any rate, they don't look like C2 calipers.
