I use the Ford fluid for all my street cars. It was originally developed for the GT40s at LeMans. I flush my brake fluid every 2 years.

I use the ATE for my track cars. I flush the fluid before every event.

Let's not forget that several years ago the Ate blue brake fluid was taken off the market because of its color - DOT has decreed that brake fluid must be either clear or amber. Too bad because the blue color made it easy to determine when a complete fluid change had been accomplished.

Everyone loved the blue color. And you're correct. Once we saw blue brake fluid coming out we knew the flush was complete.
