What's a little paint when you have a protector that also gives you love after you yell at him. Your wife will not do that. Nor will the wife or Vette wag their tail at you after you have ignored them.

Man's best friend loves to ride in our C2.

Smile and pay the price of love.
Agreed. This one loves to ride also. She cries if she hears it start and drive off without her.

Default Dog

I'm thinking you could pretty much leave the car unattended with your partner sitting there. What part of Tampa are you from? I'm trying to organize a Saturday get together at Wiregrass. They have a show once a month with a fair representation of vettes. Jerry

I'm over in Pinellas. I try to hit Cars and Coffee over here when I can, but lately I have had too much going on. This mutt does indeed make a good car security system.

That would be an interesting concept for a Car Show, for you all to take your dogs instead of your wives!

Dropped the body when doing a body drop. Literally! The body landed back onto the dolly about a foot.

Hoist broke...

....and a little white polishing compound on any scratches on the chrome trim should smooth them right out.

Love that Dobe in the passenger seat pic! What a great security system.

Your pales in comparison. And BOY did I feel stupid.

The glove box will be just fine after a little attention.
That's much better than the dog getting into harms way.

Back around 1980 I came home a bit tipsy about 1am on a cold snowy winter night. I parked my Avanti on the driveway beside my house in about 6 inches of snow because I had some project cars in my detached garage. The next morning I reached in and started the car and flipped the heater **** to warm the car while I went to my garage to complete a few tasks before driving to work. After about 10 minutes there was a horrific crash and sudden daylight, with the nose of the Avanti poked inside my closed garage.

It turned out that I had left the Avanti in "Drive" when I parked it... the lockout switch that is supposed to prevent it from being started in gear had failed (unbekownst to me) and the transmission seals were old & hardened. So, it had started despite being in "Drive". When the seals warmed up, the car lurched ahead and plowed through the snow (choke at fast idle) gaining speed over about 30 feet until it struck the garage, taking out a center post between two single-car garage doors, crumpling the metal doors, and damaging the front of the car. Luckily the project cars escaped damage.

I was too embarrassed to even think about explaining all that to my insurance company, I just ate the repair costs.
