Default Solid-axle Corvette of the Month Competition - 2016

This thread kicks off Corvetteforum’s second annual C1 Corvette of the Month contest and will culminate with Corvette of the Month winners in each generation competing for Corvette of the Year.

The Solid-axle Corvette of the Month winner will get not just bragging rights, but also one National Corvette Museum pass, a Corvetteforum Travel Mug, and a free one-year upgrade to Supporting Member status on the forum.

To enter, post one photo of your C1 in this thread no later than Nov. 30. Moderators then will pick eight of their favorites as finalists and set up a poll to allow you to vote on which of those finalists is the C1 Corvette of the Month.

The fine print: One entry per member. This contest is open to members located in the contiguous United States or the District of Columbia who are over the age of 18. Please see the Official Rules attached below for more:

My fawn beige 62, owed for 40 years, restored/painted in the 80s and just a couple of comfort performance changes recently including 68 7in. Corvette wheels, BFG radials with 66 Vette hubcaps. Hand made 15in. wood steering wheel and matching vintage shift ****. Not a great photo but car looks pretty good.

My favorite color, along with Saddle Tan for C2s. '66 hubcaps are the best fake "mag wheels" of all time IMO.

Correct # match 340Hp.

Both tops.

Original paint.

Owned since November of 1970, in fact the anniversary of ownership is on the 25th.

Dated my wife in this car in '71 and now married for 44 years.

Good luck to all contestants.

2-top / 300 hp / 4-speed / 64K original-mile car. Fawn Beige in & out, and it's a (very nice) driver, not a show car. The grandchildren love it - and so do I.

I just noticed that I'm not eligible to win this because I'm CANADIAN! Seems pretty unfair to me and other Canucks who contribute a lot to this forum. Just sayin.......
