Default Carburetor Rebuilder/Restorer In/Around Florida

Asking for a friend.

He has the original # and date coded Holley carb on his 67 327/300 coupe.

He has had the carb "rebuilt" TWICE by the same outfit, and it still leaks.

Plasticman and I along with another friend got the car running for him this morning. That was due to other "issues".

When we got it running, the carb is again leaking from the bottom of the front bowl and bottom of the rear bowl. In addition, it's leaking around the epoxy "plug" on the top rear of the carb.

He need fresh eyes on this carb, and is not going to send it back to the same place..............again.

Any suggestions for a rebuilder in/around Florida?

TIA

Chuck

Have him talk to Ron or Tim at Daytona Parts up the coast Chuck - great folks !
You can even drive up there with the piece and they'll give you advice on the spot...

Neat.

This carb belongs to our mutual friend, Richard V.

I figured it was him...

Its a cool road trip...off Old Dixie Highway on Turnbull Road...your GPS may screw you up so watch for the turnoff.

Don't be dissuaded by the looks of the place. You have to drive through the 8' high security fence then walk sideways through the employees' Harleys and jump mud puddles to get to the front door and then you'll get to the cramped office....full of old carburetor manuals and parts...

Ron will be the guy that looks like a 'rough and tumble' biker dude...

Make a day of it and have lunch at the Sunsetter's Riverfront Grille...
I'm just sayin' what I do when I make the trip

Frank,

I had thought they had discontinued rebuilding carbs, but I see they list it on their website:

Thanks,
John

Default Rebuilder

If Daytona Parts does not work out, I have a rebuilder who specializes in Holleys. He did a great job on mine. His house/shop is located in north Tampa. PM me if you need the information. Jerry
