If that's you in the picture we are about the same size. I had a 62 and with the hard top on it was a challenge to get into and out . That's why I sold mine and purchase a 63. But I love the looks of a 62 and yours looks very nice.

Before and after I installed my new Dash Pad that I bought personally from Mr. Al Knoch at the Corvette NCRS show in Lakeland Florida... he's a very nice and helpful guy... gave me a nice deal on the pad and installation video. I made a nice little Triple Gauge cluster where the radio used to be. Don't need the radio with todays electronic devices for cruisin music. Made some new door panels out of aluminum and covered them with black wrinkle finish vinyl

Took the 62 to the 48th NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville Florida last week. Had a good time, but not quite what it used to be when I was racing this 63 Corvette Roadster, but still awesome time at the drags

Do you have any under hood pics? Before and after?

Your car looks spectacular! Great story!

Excellent job . . . and an outstanding car. Looks like you may be a fellow firefighter as well (I saw a Fairfax Fire-Rescue decal). I retired after 40 years with the Syracuse Fire Department, and bought myself a little "retirement gift" on the way out.

Looks great Wade and that's normal for your work. You coming back anytime soon? I want to see the car on the Veterans 100 Mile Cruise. Dennis

The sharpest color of any corvette.

Thanks fellas, Yea the mirror was just loose, so I flipped it upside down because it held there better.... but I will fix it. Gonna be back home in a few weeks. Yes, I retired from the best job in the world... that of a Firefighter! And, I will post some engine compartment photos soon. I'm also finishing the trunk area off right now.... doing it on the cheap... which means doing it yourself... kinda like real hot rodding used to be .... FUN AGAIN !

Your 63 looks like ''serious'' racing. That must have been fun. Tell us more about that great car.

Anyway, here's a photo of when I brought it home, and then a few of what it looks like today. I replaced everything that had liquid in it except the engine block. then stripped three paint jobs off of it, and down to raw glass all over. Made some fiberglass repairs, and fixed some previous repair attempts by others... then learned body work and painted my first car ever at 60 years old LOL No other hands have touched this car but mine since I brought it home. It has a 66 Chevy II 327/350 (yea, the good one)and a 4-speed. Take a look... I'm pretty happy with my effort! ..... oh by the way... I favor the Drag Race style, and this ride was brought back to life on the cheap

Is this the one found in pa? looks gorgeous now
