66Jack, I can see yours so I went out to the garage and cleaned mine off and guess what the dealer that got my car was lazy enough that it was to much trouble to stamp my Vin Tad with delivery date. What a lazy ***. Thanks for the info guys

I have also heard that they sometimes 'accidently', tamped the Trim tag and NOT the vin tag...so check that...

No ACCIDENT about it............the aluminum Trim tag stamped a lot easier than the stainless steel VIN tag.

I have had more than 100 Corvettes & only 2 or 3 had date stamps on the VIN tag. I guess dealers thought putting it on the warranty plate was enough. I think the factory wanted it there for factory paid warranty work.
