Need 2 wires i.d.
After removing the steering column on my '64, i noticed what appears to be a condensor with 2 wires mounted on the left , just inside of the s-column tunnel. Can anyone tell me it's function and where the wires plug into ? Need to resolve this before installing the tilt column. A/C car. Thanks, Dave. SEE ATTACHMENTS.

What I am seeing as a blind man are the capacitors for the radio.
If you are not listening to AM, you really don't need them. Also don't need all of the shielding on the ignition system.
But, if you are into the NCRS show car, better wait for the boys with the TOP FLIGHT cars to respond. We are just drivers.

That is an original radio noise suppression capacitor...no doubt long since gone dead.....the waxy insulation leeches out over time and they go bad. They aren't necessary but I'd leave it there for originality...there are several more in places behind the dash.
You can see the piece more clearly in this picture of my '63 brake/clutch pedal support bracket out of the car..
