Default Headlight Motor Bearing Retainer

I managed to pull the rearing bearing from the headlight motor. Then in anger I removed the spring and the spring retainer. I have the new parts and a new attitude, well somewhat. Here's the question:

The old retainer was tacked in place. I have neither the equipment or skill to to that. I am wondering if I can install the retainer using an epoxy glue.

TIA

Joe

I just finished doing head light repair. Are you asking about armature brushes to housing ?

Joe, not sure if this will answer your question but check out an older thread I started a while back. Maybe it'll help.

I believe that he's referring to the bronze bearing at end of the shaft.

Yes I am referring to the bearing at the rear of the housing and the link you provided gives me confidence in using the JB weld rather than an epoxy glue. I will follow up when it's completed so others will know how well or not the repair worked. Thank you all.

I used RTV as referenced in the older thread by CWPasadena. I liked the idea of some flexibility of the bushing to slightly align itself
