Default Thorp Chevrolet info wanted

Like the title states, looking for info on Thorp Chevrolet in Annapolis MD.
Received my NCRS shopping info on my 67 today and found out that's where my car was sold. I know that they were sold in 1973 but know info after that. Heck, maybe my car was sold to one of the Grads from West Point back in the day. Like to find some original license plate frames as well.
Thanks,
Chris

Yeah, I know, Google is very helpful but it this case all I could find was info on the dealerships owner. His name was Frank Thorp III and that he owned the dealership for about 10 years. Nothing on the dealership though.

Thanks,
Chris

Ordered my first NEW corvette in October of 1964 from Thorp
located on West Street, now the location of the local Honda dealer.
took delivery of my 1965 Glen Green, L79, 4-speed, power steering, power brakes, 3:70 posi, both tops, in Jan 1965. Thorp was later sold to Genderson Chevrolet, then Tate Chevrolet at the West St. location. Tate later moved the dealership to Rout 50. There is no longer a Chevrolet
dealership in Annapolis. For that matter the only GM dealership in Annapolis is Fitzgerald Cadillac/VW.

A minor correction to my original post... It was Genderson who first moved the dealership to route 50 location then sold it to Tate. Also i'm sure Frank Thorp would have sold beaucoup to new Naval Academy grads as Ensigns or Marine 2nd louies.

Find out the address of the towns historical society send them a letter of what you want. Look on Facebook for a group dedicated to that town, join and post what you are looking for, Keep checking ebay under Thorp Chevrolet

It took awhile but the historical society sent me the owners sons name (in his 60's) and address of the Dealers dealership from 63. Sent him a letter and he sent me 2-frames from stuff he had in a storage bin. Got a yard-stick from a guy on the towns Facebook page.

One more to add. 71 convertible, steel Cities gray, black vinyl hardtop. First owner from Stevensville bought it in 71. High school senior then, who within a couple of years had it painted a custom blue with white/silver pearl shading/inserts. Was a LS6 M22 car for a HS senior! Sold new in April 71 at Thorp.

I heard Frank Thorp's son (also Frank, a retired rear Admiral) interviewed on the radio a few weeks ago:
http://www.usssiouxcitylcs11.org/index.php?i=Media
He mentioned the dealership briefly; there is a link to the interview. I bet you could contact him through the organization...he seemed very down to earth.

Well, still looking for dealer info on Thorp Chevrolet. I did find and purchase an original dealer key chain/ring with there info. Anyone out there have a picture of what the dealership nameplate/emblem looks like that they installed on the new cars? Like to find one if possible.
Thanks,
Chris
