Default '67 435hp in Delray Beach,Fl

Heading to DelRay Beach tomorrow to inspect a '67 for a buyer. Going to stick around for a few days. Any other cars in the area to look at?

Hi Steve, you are right about that. But unfortunately I will be home by the weekend. Pretty sure the snow and cold will still be here waiting for me.

To the OP...check Craigslist and there are lots of classic car dealers here in Palm Beach and Broward counties, some exclusive for vettes, but with dealer prices....

Weather is HOT, like mid 80's daytime...so enjoy

Ken,
It looks like I will be in Scottsdale next month for BJ. Maybe we can get together then. As far using/selling all the parts that I bought at your auction, I have sold some ,used some and still have a huge pile left. But that's ok because good parts like that are just too hard to find today. I wish that I could go to an auction like that once a year

Know of a 67 resto-mod, but way intense build on tube chassis and 525 LS3, etc. May not be what the buyer wants.

The buyer was looking for an original '67 documented 435hp roadster. This car is such but a restoration from the '90s that has not held up very well at all. So he is going to continue to look as he is looking for one that is in fresh condition. He is though considering buying this one and having the car restored again. Just because the car is real with the original motor and real factory documentation. Cars like this are just too hard to find.

GREAT. I am thinking of selling my Maroon 67 435 2 top Conv. Has 4:11's J-56 & factory side exhaust. I have the real tank sticker that shows all the options. bought in 30 years ago & sold it to a friend bought it back from his wife after he died. Older body off. Jim has my phone #. KEN

Delray Beach ... That's where they got that Picasso. No, hold on ... I'm thinking of Daley Plaza.

I saw your car on Jim's website a while ago and did not put two and two together until now. Good luck with the sale

Of course you know what you are doing, but be especially wary of any cars from that area that were sold down there in the '80s. There was a guy running a place called Corvette Connection, I think, in Pompano that went to jail for an assortment of reasons. One was he sold a lot of cars like this "original engine" 1967 I looked at a few years ago.

Notice anything wrong?

And to all the others, no, you don't need the paint removed to see what is wrong.

Numbers are on the wrong side of the pad.

Vehicle number should be on the right side of the pad, while the other numbers should be on the left side of the pad.

And the pad is smooth instead of having broach marks.

Pat

The numbers are on the correct side of the pad for a small block however the font is wrong.

There was a maroon 435 convertible in northern IL that had been restamped so poorly, the build code and VIN actually were in the improper (small block) orientation on the pad. Somewhere I have a picture of it.
