The Milano Maroon Metallic is what I'm looking for I think.
I have 2 color cards here, Madeira Maroon and Madeira Maroon Metallic. The metallic is at least a full shade lighter, maybe even a candy apple red almost.
I'll order the Milano color card, that may be exactly what I was looking for.

Second and Third card down...it shows a 65/66 Color..
but its Canadian...
http://www.chevelle.fr/chevelle.fr/a...?lng=en&pg=344
Regardless of this Next Finding...
I'VE never seen a Corvette painted using the paint NAME that you're looking for...but it did find this for 67..
Letter N on this page show a Madera Maroon "POLY"
http://www.urekem-paints.com/paint-c...r-paint-colors
I think the color is the same just DIFFERENT NAMES by the DIFFERENT VENDORS...

I used to own a Madeira Maroon Camaro so I know what it looks like, I'm just interested in the metallic version of the color, not the poly version.
There is a pic of a 66 Vette somewhere on the net of a metallic Madeira Maroon, but it's not a very good pic.

I know that the folks with that color always seem to have a hard time matching EXACTLY to the original color. Maybe it's just the codes, but sometimes it's too orange, sometimes too red.
Check Ray's 66 (rayvaflav) maroon out. I think he had his share of problems matching that color...

The Milano Maroon in '65 and '66 (shown on the coupe in the second photo above) are the same but the Marlboro Maroon in '67 (shown on the roadster in the first photo above) is different.
Milano Maroon is a strange color, different examples using the same "correct formula" yield results of a chocolate tint, a purple tint and a brownish tint. In different lighting it appears somewhat flat and muddy or deep and rich.
Marlboro Maroon appears a little lighter and has a bit of "cherry' to it, no tints of brown.
I have sent a few photos of the Milano Maroon on my recently painted '66 coupe using BarryK's formula with slightly more metallic and on my car I do not see the chocolate tint. Two different photos of my car dependent on light appear as two different cars. I will send some more photos this weekend using the natural light available in the daytime.
