I traded a 25' flybridge sedan (boat) for my '64 back in '84..., so >32 years. It was originally tan/tan interior and was tan/black interior when I got it.

1957 owned since 1960
My mom bought the car in 1960. Still titled in her name. Taught in one room school in Eastern Kentucky. She still owns today. Very original. 220 hp hard top, radio, and heater. Polo white with Venetian Red coves. #1995 serial. Guy traded it in at local Chevrolet/Oldsmobile dealer for a new F85 Olds. Owned now for 57 years and counting. Fourth set of tires, never restored, survivor quality. 43,000 original miles. Original spare.

Actually, our car was stolen from the driveway of a B&B we were staying at.
There were about a half a dozen people enjoying take out dinner less than 12'-15' away. Unfortunately, due to darkness and heavy vegetation (as well as gravity), the thieves were able to push it out of it's parking space.
And unfortunately, the damage was quite significant. Just a lot of items that quickly added up on these old Corvettes.
Have a good day,
Pat

Next month I will have continuously owned my Vette 54 years.
I am the original owner of my '63 triple black convertible Vette. I started buying it on Feb 27, 1963. I ordered it with 340HP, 4 speed, 4:11 gears, 2 tops, radio, posi., white walls. I decided right away that it would be a driver. Put 33,000 miles on the first year & 30,000 miles it the second year. Third year I was drafted into the Army for 2 years of service. I thought 'Nam was going to be in my future but I was not sent overseas. My Vette was for sale the first year but did not sell. After service I raised a family, kept driving & enjoying my Vette.
As stated above my Vette is a driving Vette. Current mileage is 548,000.
Since 2007, when new power was installed, we (my wife & I) have averaged 14,000 miles per year.
Since 2003 we have travelled my Vette to all lower 48 states, Washington DC & all the Canadian provinces. Longest trips were 2007 out west (6,000 miles) & 2008 to Labrador (7,100 miles).
I can be contacted at: sstone@chorus.net
Below is an article written about my Vette:

Steve Stone,
I am impressed! You truly are in my camp of "drive 'em if you've got 'em". Enjoyed reading the history of your '63. You are so right about limited space with the soft top folded in when you trip. Our last big trip covered 6,000 miles, Michigan to Santa Monica, then San Francisco and back and we learned early on to pull all our clothes out of bags, shipping those empty bags home, and set it up as an open closet with the most frequently used stuff right on top.
Regards,
Jim

Finalist 2022 C1 of the Year - Modified
Dad bought his 57 in June of 1962. He passed it to me in the fall of 2017. I hope to give it to my grandson when he is old enough.

My Dad and his brother bought a 54 three years before I was born, in 1964.
Here is a photo of it at a car show when I was ten in 1977...
Here it is on the day of my prom in 1986...
And here it is now as it gets a body off restoration ...
