Longest Continuously Owned C1 AND C2.
This thread got me wondering, plus I recall some of you having had your C1s and C2s many years.

So who here has owned their C1 and C2 the longest?
My meager 2 years 9 months is not even enough to make an opening bid.

I started late, it took me until I was 29 to get enough money for my 63. Bought it in 1989 in LaJolla Ca. and still have it,

I bought this 1963, 47 years ago as a teenager from the original owner. He had already made a few changes to it and I made a few more. I put it into storage in 1971 where it sat for the next 37 years. I'm now in the final stages of completing its' restoration. Tuxedo Black with red interior...
Good luck... GUSTO

C2 of Year Finalist (track prepared) 2019
Although nowhere near being a record, the '54 and '63 in the picture below have been in our family for 46 years. My son insists that his son will drive the '54 when it is 100 years old.

I've had this one almost 3 months. If that puts me close for longest, I'll look up the exact date.

Bought my 67 in June of 1974, so, 42 yrs.& 6 months. A lot of memories and still fun to drive. Doesn't set idle for too long...just in the cold winter months.

I wasnt old enough or rich enough to buy a c2 when they were selling new but 30 years ago I did have the pleasure of buying our 66 from a Chevy dealer who had sold it when it was new and then took it on trade from the original owner 20 years later. I thought I was overpaying at the time but did it anyway. Turned out to be a bargain. Ive bought, fixed up and sold a few more of them over the years but this is the one that is never going anywhere.
