2019 C1 of Year Finalist (track prepared)
Have to keep this thread going. My car would never beat Donny Brass' '66, but it did set a track record at San Fernando in 1958 with an ET of 12.77. Great road racer, too. One of it's last trips to San Fernando in the late '60s where it was running consistent 12.70s...

This is a photo of our 56 Corvette at Bonneville. Our top speed was
206 MPH on a very slippery surface.

Here's the PR photo for the Owens/Corning car. We can thank Peter DeLorenzo for this image.

This is a shot of two Corvettes squaring off at my home track, Dover Dragstrip, for Super Stock Eliminator. The far lane is Ralph Feola's SS/M Vette. Ralph was always in the money. Many Corvettes raced at this track.

Used car dealer ( Danbury, Ct.) John Regner was a regular at Dover Dragstrip in Modified Production. We used to moan about that track so much and when it was gone we truly missed it. Fred

Dick passed away in the late 90's, but his son Rick still has the car or at least did the last time I was at Moroso's around 8-9 years ago. It was put back as a street car, painted maroon with all the lettering gone, painted rims, baby moons and wide whites (wide white slicks on the back), but it still had that really great stance. Moroso's place in Guilford CT has a race shop in back where the 61 and other cars are built, maintained and kept. When I was last there they were building 572 powered road race replica 69 convertible.

Here’s the real deal Ault & James H/G 63 Corvette. Crower injected small block, engine size ranged from 277 to 292 cubic inches and a Doug Nash 5 speed. Restored 2020 - 2021 to as Jerry Ault raced it in 1976 - 77. Multi time national event winner and record holder. A piece of drag racing history.
The car, ................................ racing back in the day.
Left to right...................... Jim Miller, Bob Eblin (RIP), Dave Thomas (crew chief), Jerry Ault (owner and driver)
