Looks like the front end is gonna' fall off on the ground unless you get some duct tape on it to hold it on.
Wrong engine. Totally.
Nice headliner re-do.
Surely someone didn't pay that much money for that thing?

X2 on the sagging front end...especially on the passenger side. Looks like a partial front clip was installed, while plenty of beer was being swilled. Car looks pretty rough, IMO.

Agree with the "Tijuana tuck & roll".
I'm NOT a NCRS "get the Q-tip out" kind of owner, so the engine is not a major concern for myself.
I feel it was a "Steal/Bargain"!!!...
UPSET I MISSED OUT
A couple more results...seems like ( In My Opinion) some "Good Deals!!!"...

Looks like one of them downforce noses.
How much horsepower does that air cleaner add?

Don't feel too bad. At 58k, it would take another 50k to make this a 75-80k car. Lose-lose.

Le Mans Master
$58,000 is more than I would pay for it.
stitched leather? seat covers, custom headliner
later shifter, console, steering wheel, speedo/tach
later engine with HEI distributor
leaking brass/copper radiator
radiator surge tank unmounted
redline tires, no spare tub
aftermarket cassette/stereo
pricey stuff missing: seat belts, ignition shielding, jack?
rust in chassis/birdcage?, original trim/VIN tags?
... but, to be fair, it does have "full size spinner wheel covers" and an "in-dash clock".

THANKS GUYS!!!...You're making me feel better about "Missing out"!!!
Seems that a car coming from a "Famous Collection"...isn't ALL it cracked up to be!...seemingly the only thing "Cracked Up" would be this Split Window!...
I did notice with my neophyte knowledge & eyes, it DID HAVE the infamous usually missing Master Cylinder!...That must add $10,000.00!!!

An Al Knoch '63 headliner is $200 and looks great; now fixing that snout - well that's beau coup bucks.

It gonna need a Rhinoplasty.

Saw the car in person. It was indeed rather rough. It may have part of a collection but honestly it was not a good collection for the most part. I thought most of them were no doubt skips with the quality and sheer number of good vettes around. A bunch of 63s and they were selling well for good cars.

A little off topic but I was passing by the NCRS Lakeland Judging Class (a bunch of folks standing around a Sebring Silver/Black 340hp split window) I heard the instructor state that blond fiberglass was the ONLY glass used up until '65....not what the judging manual says and not what I've personally seen in some known-original '63s...
So now I'm confused...

I was there. That car was not nice and the paint was worse than it looks in pictures. Not to mention the engine and the nose. It also required a bidders premium, bringing the price to about $63k, plus another grand or more to ship if necessary. It wasn't a great deal.
Within the hour, 2 other nice splits sold for $140k and $122k and they weren't even fuelies. There were several splits there, some really nice ones and a couple real bad ones. That black AC car that didn't sell last week is going through again at no reserve tomorrow.
The nice cars are not selling cheap.
