I was in the process of looking for a replacement for my '63 Clock that I believed was beyond repair after 36 years in storage. I ran into the folks from Corvette Specialties of MD West at Carlisle a few years back and discussed the matter with them. Pretty quickly I realized what an impossible task it was going to be to find one and they said, just send us your clock and we'll see what we can do.
They did a superb job and it looks as good as new. If I hadn't seen it I would not have believed the results.
Good luck... GUSTO

You may not be pleased with the price, but I don't believe you'll be disappointed in the results.
Good luck... GUSTO

Bill Harrison in Jupiter Florida repaired and refurbished my '66 clock. He restored it to the original tic/toc mechanism. He will convert to quartz if you want it. It was done in combination with my gauge cluster. He does great work and you will not be disappointed.

i didn't do a resoration on mine. I did take it out and filed the points. I thought that was all there was to it but not so. I stuck it back in the car and it did not work. I drove the car for a couple of years and could not get the clock to run. A couple of years ago I had Jerry Rudbeck re-do my radio. While fooling with the wiring on the install I got everything connected and hooked up the battery to check out the radio operation. When I got into the car I heard the Tic Tic Tic of the clock. Not sure how it happened but the clock has now worked for the last two years. No telling how long it will last though.

Clock Works put an OEM Borg mechanism in mine for judging for $150; it needed nothing else. 63 clock rebuildable cores are going for $650+. Ridiculous.

I've done a couple of successful repairs by cleaning with compressed air and WD40. The mechanism is delicate and easily contaminated with dust. Each time the clock started ticking in my hand after cleaning. I sealed the repaired and running clock with RTV just to keep the dust out in the future. I must say, they seem to run a little fast but it's not my go to time keeper-just nice to see it work.
