If it's been restored then all the clues should have been erased. If not there are clues.

As you can tell I'm new to the vettes. I purchased the 57' recently to do a restoration on. The 67' I'm looking at to possibly buy. If anyone would care to pm me with any further knowledge of the 67' I'd appreciate it. The trim tag tells me it was originally a sunfire yellow with black interior, I believe.

I'd like to know if it's an original 427 car as it has no paperwork.. I checked the motor numbers and it has a 72'-78' 454 truck/car motor. Who knows what has been done to the car in it's lifetime

There are many clues regarding factory AC..........they are hard to fake.

1. Dash cutouts and AC vents are unique

2. Battery is on the driver side with a cutout for access in the driver inner fender.

3. Wiring is different

4. The factory AC box is unique and has special features. Not too many folks will completely changeover from non-AC to a "factory-like" AC system.

5. Dates on compressor and various AC components can be checked against the car build date.

6. The Trim Tag will tell for many interior choices, but unfortunately will not tell you if the interior is simple black vinyl (standard).
