Just getting into C2s.
Hi everyone. Although I am an original owner of a 1988 Corvette, I'm am now expanding my horizons to buy a 1964-1967 327 in. Convertible. Manual transmission. Ive done my research and basically know what to look for but frankly I'm am not mechanical and would hire an inspector to evaluate a potential purchase. Looking for red, blue or black driver in good condition.also looking at a potential in Tucson and need the name of a reliable inspector to look at it. Any suggestions ?

Welcome to the forum! I don't have a recommendation for an inspector but there are plenty of them for sale but finding a GOOD car takes time. Be patient. If you find something, post some pictures here, especially the tags and engine stamping. Good luck.

If you need a corvette to be inspected in the Cleveland area I would suggest provette67 here on the forum. Otherwise, there are corvette clubs, cars & coffees all over the US and I would start with one in your area hoping to find someone qualified to do a C2 inspection. Good luck

Curious: why consider a '64 convertible but not a 63? Pretty much the same car.

Burning Brakes
Welcome to the C2 world and good luck with your search.
The 64 model is typically valued at a lower price point because they have drum brakes - disk started with the 65 model. Take your time and learn everything you can and then I would tell you to be patient and buy the best you can afford. The trick is to find a decent example. When I bought my 64, I knew I was going to have it Restomoded so I wanted a good running non matching numbers car that had a straight body and complete. Well - people hide a lot of stuff under the darn paint. I had a bunch of bubba repairs that had to get fixed. It is what it is as examples of no-hit bodies are rare.
