Frankie, you need to start wearing your yoga pants when you drive. dcamick, you're car is perfect the way it is. If it were mine, I'd leave it alone and just wash and wax it. Total time capsule, in a good way!!

I got roped into a photo session at a remote B-52 park near Orlando airport - a deal for a friend... You can see with the flags on the car it was 4th of July and steamy hot. I told the model twice not to sit her azz (nice at it was) on the hot fiberglass....I didn't have to tell her a third time!
As I've said before you aren't a real C1 driver until you've been driving along at 65mph and had an angry wasp get sucked down that cowl vent to buzz around Ballsackistan to the point you have to pull off the road and exit the car to protect your 'man parts'...

Hey Doug,
Can add much more to the cowl vent conversation, but I do recall seeing your Vette at the Caste Village cruise in PGH. Think your first pic is from there. My folks are about 5 minutes away and if I am home on a Sunday, I'm sure to stop down.
Take care,
Randy

I've actually given some thought to doing the same thing to mine. Long way to go yet so I still haven't ruled it out.

I love my cowl vent. Here in FL it's critical.
This morning I had to close it but 30 miles down the road it was time to open it again.
