It's Venetian Red but paint numbers will differ between manufacturers. Ditzler is 70694, DuPont 59388. I'm sure there are others.

Trunk paint is unbuffed lacquer. There is no special code. It is the same as the interior.
If you try to use a modern paint, like urethane, it will be to glossy. Some will say to flatten it chemically, but it won't look like unbuffed lacquer. PPG still sells/manufactures acrylic lacquer.
