C2 Ground Straps on Exhaust
Based on the AIM manual and other sources ground straps are run from the exhaust to the frame. Anyone understand why?
The motor and frame are already ground why the exhaust?
Thanks

Drifting
Not that it needed confirmation, but having a Radio Delete vehicle, I can attest to the fact that I have NO grounding straps.
Finally, something I don't need to spend more money on.

Melting Slicks
Eventually cause the sealer paste on the exhaust pipe coupler COULD interrupt the grounding for the back end of the silencer system?

I have a 66 that was assembled without a radio but, strangely, it does have two ground straps at the center crossmember exhaust pipe clamps. Always been there.
There's no body ground strap at the left side #1 body mount and there's never been a hole drilled in the frame for one. Surprising because I thought all frames arrived at the plant with that hole already drilled.
Also a pic of the underside of the body that shows no hole for an antenna and no patch to make a fake no radio car.
