Default 1959 Soft Top Rear Seal

Starting to install the soft top, have it installed on the rear bow.

How is the rubber seal which rests on the deck lid secured to the rear bow? There is a groove on one side, which I assume folds over the top of the bow, but it is not secure.

Is the seal glued and stapled, or is there a fastener strip?

Nope, just glued and stapled. The swing latch screws go through it and help, but the staples do most of the job.

Thanks for the quick response, will proceed today.

Sure wish the suppliers provided some basic installation instructions for the bits they sell.
