Default 65 4 speed trans

Is the 4 speed trans on a 65 coupe "suck and fill" type, similar to the diff? I cleaned and looked I did not see a drain plug like the one on my 72 LT1. thank you.

I believe that the drain plug was added around 68 or 69.

Like I said I did not see one, I guess proceed with sucking the old stuff out and re-fill.

This gadget is pretty handy for sucking out oil from tranny's, diff's and even lawn mowers.

Found it one day after wondering how the boat guys change their oil.

I made one similar out of the garden sprayer, but pneumatically operated. Similar to the device for power bleeding brakes.
