I thought this was started before but couldn't find it. Anyways, mine is derived from my favorite locomotive on my favorite railroad (Mikado#463 on the Cumbres & Toltec ex DRG&W narrow gauge) Rode behind her on my honeymoon (talking about the locomotive ..) 41 years ago.

here's a neat video if interested.....

I bought my 1963 Corvette long before my second son Kelly was born. But by the time he was 13 and getting interested in it, the car was in sad shape and in need of complete restoration. I started the job in 2000 just as his health began to deteriorate quickly due to cystic fibrosis. My hope was to finish the car while he was still healthy enough to enjoy it. I joined this forum in May 2001 when there was no better help anywhere on the Internet for someone restoring an old Corvette and I chose the name kellsdad in his honor. He passed later that year. The many hours I spent alone working on that car in the garage was the therapy that helped me through that very dark time. Each time I see kellsdad I am reminded of him and I always think warmly of the time we had together.

When I was a wee lad, the call went out, who wants to go for a ride in bluestreak? Since I was the youngest of four, I either got the passenger footwell or got crammed in the back competing with siblings and the convertible top.

I guess mine is somewhat simple. If you see my '67, it has a blue stripe front to back. Dennis

DZAUTO = Dad and Zac (our youngest son). I've always had a small, part time auto business with no name for it, specializing in early Chevy and Vette repairs.
One day when Zac was about 2yrs old, Mom was gone on and errand and I was baby sitting. Zac and I were out in the garage working on something, and as little boys often do, he was helping Dad. I looked down and thought "Well here we are, just Dad and Zac". The rest is history.

I spent 31 years in the US Navy, four submarine tenders (submarine repair ships) and four different shore tours fixing submarines. Still at it today as a DOD contractor. 41 years total.

Thus: Subfixer.........

Addiction is a condition that results when a person ingests a substance (e.g., alcohol, cocaine, nicotine) or engages in an activity (e.g., gambling, sex, corvettes, shopping) that can be pleasurable but the continued use/act of which becomes compulsive and interferes with ordinary life responsibilities, such as work (I just happen to get there quicker in my car : ), relationships (I bring my wife along occasionally : ) or health ( that's why I don't bring my wife along all the time: ) Users may not be aware that their behavior is out of control and causing problems for themselves and others (well....the side pipes are a little loud ; )

My Rat Terrier. SinDee the rat dog. Here she is with her head down a gopher hole. Rats, mice, gophers, squirrels. To her they're all the same.

My name is actually Jerry but one of my best friends who past away from pancreatic cancer at age 52 few years ago, always called me Gerald, so I have it in remembrance of him. He had a 60 Corvette for over 30 years when he passed but he always loved my 57 too. Geralds57

Chattanooga is where I'm from and when I joined the forum I was shopping for a Jetstream Blue c6. Abbreviation JSB. Almost immediately I gravitated toward this forum side and you men let me hang out until I sold and snagged my 64- but the name I'm stuck with.
