Default Retro look ls motor

Has anyone had experience with a ls conversion using a stand alone efi kit on a ls eldebrock manifold?

I have a ls6 in my 66 and I'm completely sold on the ls engines weight, power, torque and efficiency. I won't be running anything else. I also have a truck with the eldebrock kit and carb on a ls motor, performs well but still doesn't have the performance or benefits of modern fuel injection, it's just not what I'm looking for for the '66

My only hangup is purely cosmetic, I think it's an ugly motor and doesn't fit the style of my car. I love the look of the center round air cleaners and traditional intake manifold. Not a fan of the "j" style intake tube and filter crammed between the radiator and front of motor.

The problem when search for efi kits, I can't find one that uses ls sensors and triggers, most are designed for non ls motors. It might not even work, just looking to see if anyone else has tackled this.

Couple of pics of the look I'm wanting:

I think FAST has an EZ-EFI for LS motors.

Default Fast

Looks like holley has something that might work the down side is I have to piece it together from them , it's not offered in a do it all kit , i couldnt find a fast kit kit that had the traditional style throttle body with a ls harness and computer

Holley makes this cover for coils for the LS engine. Just think they look cool.

I think it looks amazing but I wonder if it's worth the work. I think LS motors look kick *** in mid-years as it is. Seems like it would work better as an integrated unit from GM (manifold, EFI, etc.) and be simpler to install. Of course, then it wouldn't be as unique.

I guess I'm on the fence. Although the OP's pics really look good. I wish my engine bay looked that nice....

I always like the looks of the LS with early corvette valve covers.

Gotta relocate the coils version: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tay-555701

This may not be as retro as what the others posted but it is my interpretation. I used the Hot Rod Dynamics CNC machined Billet Aluminum valve covers on my LS3 that is in my 64 Corvette.
At a glance many people think i have a big block engine under the hood!!
